Terms of Service
Short version: free single-file convert stays free; optional Pro is a one-time digital unlock for Batch ZIP and brand presets. Use the tool lawfully with transcripts you have rights to convert. Refunds and termination are spelled out below.
The service
SRT2Word (srt2word.com) converts SubRip (.srt), WebVTT (.vtt),
ASS/SSA (.ass / .ssa) dialogue events, and
common Zoom-style plain transcripts into Microsoft Word .docx files in your browser.
Single-file conversion does not require an account and is free forever.
Acceptable use
- Only convert transcripts and captions you have the right to use and export.
- Do not abuse payments, restore flows, or attempt to bypass Pro entitlements.
- Do not use the site to distribute malware or violate applicable law.
Free vs Pro
Single-file SRT/VTT → Word conversion remains free. Optional Pro is a one-time unlock (listed on the pricing section) for Batch ZIP and brand header/footer presets. Document contents still convert in your browser.
Checkout is processed by Waffo Pancake (merchant of record). Paid access is tied to the checkout email; use /restore on a new browser with that email. We do not provide password accounts.
Refund policy (Pro digital unlock)
Pro is a one-time digital unlock. Access is granted as soon as payment succeeds — on this browser via cookies, and on a new browser via /restore with the same checkout email. Because delivery is immediate and intangible, the unlock is generally non-refundable once Pro has been granted, except as listed here or required by law.
We will refund the Pro digital unlock when:
- Payment succeeded but Pro never activated and restore with the checkout email also fails (delivery failure).
- There is a duplicate or incorrect charge.
- Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction require it (for example EU/UK withdrawal rights for unused digital content).
Clearing cookies, switching browsers, or losing the checkout email is not a refund — use Restore. If you have not used Batch ZIP or brand presets, email us within 7 days and we will consider a goodwill refund of the unused unlock.
Request a refund at hello@srt2word.com with your checkout email, receipt or order ID, and reason. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Waffo Pancake to the original payment method (typically 5–10 business days) and revoke Pro.
Termination and consequences
You may stop using the site at any time. Free conversion needs no account to close. You may ask us to delete your entitlement record (see Privacy); after deletion, restore will no longer find Pro on that email.
We may suspend or terminate Pro access — and, if needed, use of the site — if you:
- Violate acceptable use, including converting transcripts you have no right to export.
- Abuse payments, restore flows, or attempt to bypass Pro entitlements.
- Commit fraud or otherwise violate applicable law.
Consequences. Termination for breach revokes the Pro digital unlock. Restore with that checkout email will fail. There is no refund of the unlock when we terminate for breach. Free single-file conversion may still work unless we have to block the site for security or legal reasons. If we discontinue Pro ourselves, we will keep existing unlocks working where practical or refund unused unlocks as required.
After termination we may keep payment and entitlement records as needed for fraud, tax, and disputes, as described in the Privacy Policy.
No warranties
The service is provided as-is. Speaker labels, timestamps, and cue merging depend on the transcript format you paste. We do not guarantee a perfect reading script for every export.
