What the PDF button does
PDF opens the system print dialog on the live preview. Choose Save as PDF. The pages contain the
paragraphs already on screen. Cue indexes and --> lines are not in them. Page breaks
follow the browser. It is not burn-in, and it is not a timed subtitle file.
Show timestamps and Merge same speaker change that preview before you print. Merge same speaker joins consecutive cues from one label inside this file. It does not combine two files. Download .docx is the Word file. Which one to keep is SRT to DOCX vs PDF.
The same box also reads WebVTT and ASS. A video file is not accepted. Combining caption files into one SRT is merge subtitles. The SRT to Word converter is this tool with Download .docx first.

Will a video player open this PDF?
No. Keep the SRT, VTT, or ASS for the video. The PDF is a reading snapshot of the preview.
Can the SRT be rebuilt from the PDF?
No. Keep the caption file. This site does not rebuild cues from a PDF or from Word.
Is the subtitle file uploaded?
No. The preview and the print dialog run in your browser. See the Privacy Policy.
