Merge Subtitles
What the merged file contains
Add at least two caption files, up to 40. The download is one .srt named
merged.srt. Cues are ordered by start time. When two cues start together, the one that
ends sooner comes first. When the start and the end both match, the file you added first stays first.
Overlapping cues both stay. A cue that is in two files is written twice. Times are not moved.
SRT cue text is kept, including a [Name] label. WebVTT voice tags become
Name: lines, and position settings are dropped. ASS override tags are removed, and the
actor name is written as Name:. SAMI and a text SUB become cues in that same SubRip
file. An LRC file is not read here — use LRC to SRT first. A picture
SUB/IDX is refused. A video file is refused.

Does this burn subtitles into a video?
No. The download is one .srt. A player or an editor still has to load that file on the video.
Are the clocks shifted so the files play one after another?
No. Each cue keeps the start and end it already had. The result is ordered by those times and numbered from 1.
