What the TXT keeps
Each SubRip cue has an index, a line with -->, and the caption text. The TXT is that
caption text. Line breaks inside a cue stay. A blank line separates cues. The index and the clock do not.
A speaker written as [Alex] or Alex: at the start of the cue is kept as
Alex: on that cue’s text. For a Word document instead of plain text, use the

Does this download a Word file?

What if the paste is WebVTT or LRC?
It is rejected. This page reads SubRip cues, with an index and a line that contains -->.
Is the SRT uploaded?

Do italic tags stay?
Yes. If a cue contains <i>, <b>, or <u>, those tags stay in the text. They are not turned into Word styles on this page.
